Falcons beat Romania 4-1, place third in friendly tourney

The Super Falcons defeated Romania 4-1 in the China Four-Nation Invitational Tournament in Wuhua on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
It was the first time in two decades that the nine-time African champions would record a win against a European opponent.
Chiwendu Ihezuo gave Thomas Dennerby’s side the lead one minute into the interval.
In the second half, strikes from Onome Ebi, Rita Chikwelu and Ini-Abasi Umotong secured a third-place finish at the invitational tournament.
The Super Falcons had lost 3-0 to China in their first game of the competition.
