Controversy as UNILAG graduating student dies after final exams

The death of a 400-level student of the Department of Microbiology, University of Lagos, Adeniyi Ogundijo, has continued to generate controversy.
While some claimed that the 22-year-old committed suicide over poor performance in his final exams, his friends and family members said he was killed.
The school authorities, however, urged everyone to stop speculating on the cause of his death, saying the family kept mum when questioned by the management.

Simi gushes over husband Adekunle Gold at 32

Nigerian singer, Simisola Ogunleye, aka, Simi has celebrated her husband, Adekunle Gold on his 32nd birthday. The duo got married in a private ceremony earlier in the year with 300 guests in attendance. Award-winning Simi took to her Instagram account to convey sweet words to her singer husband. She wrote: “light of my life. I love you. I also really like you and the way you do your things. I’m such a lucky babe. You’re also lucky… I know God knows how much I want to prosper and shine and win and laugh and be happy, so I pray God grants my heart desires. Gridlock as tankers, vehicles crash in Lagos

A multiple accident on Wednesday’s evening caused a major traffic gridlock on Ikorodu road in Lagos. The accident occurred few metres away from the NEM Insurance corporate Head office on Ikorodu road Several cars and petrol tankers were involved in the incident with a Toyota Yaris completely written off. An eyewitness told The Nation LASEMA officials responded swiftly to emergency calls. Many of them were seen evacuating the vehicles to ease the gridlock worsened by rush-hour traffic. A fire tanker belonging to the Lagos State Fire Service was also stationed to avoid fire outbreak .
